SPOILERS!

All I'm going to do is copy and paste:

Judges: Nigel, Mary, and Debbie Allen

Taping was a mess. A girl fainted. Things were re-shot several times.

1. Jesus & Sara got a Krump routine with Lil C. All the judges liked it and they were very impressed with Jesus since he was out of his element.

2. Cedric & Shauna got Contemporary with Mia. Shauna was very very good. Cedric was sitting on the floor for about 25 seconds. The judges said he needed to step it up, and he didn’t and they think it’s time for him to go. Debbie Allen also offered him a scholarship for her dance academy because she wants to see him train.

3. Kameron & Lacey got Quickstep with Tony Meredith. They had to film the dance twice. The choreography was really good and the judges really liked it. They enjoyed both dancers. The person who went said it was the first time she was enertained by a Quickstep.

4. Danny & Anya got Hip-Hop with Dan Karaty. It was actually good coming from Dan. The judges thought it was the weakest style the couple had done. The judges expected more from them since they’ve both been held to such a high standard.

5. Dominic and Sabra got a Rumba by Jean-Marc Generaux. They were really good and all the judges liked it.

6. Neil & Lauren got a Tango by Jean-Marc Generaux. The judges thought they could have been smoother, it looked like they were hopping at times. Mary didn’t like it. They said Neil looked a little bit sloppy. One girl who went wants to rape Neil. The other girl said Lauren’s REALLY into herself as she didn’t even look at Neil for most of the dance.

7. Hok & Jaimie worked with Wade on a Jazz routine. Wade described the routine as ecclectic. Said it was his version of ballet. Hok was supposed to be a hummingbird, Jaimie was a flower. It was supposed to be a love story. It was really really good and both of them danced it extremely well. The judges felt Wade did a good job of catering to both of their styles.

8. Pasha & Tony Meredith’s assistant got a Cha Cha by Tony Meredith. OK, here’s the deal with Jessi. Apparently, she hadn’t been feeling well at all during the show and had to be rushed to the hospital where they found out she has some kind of heart problem. If she is well enough to dance on Thursday, she will have to dance a solo, whether Pasha is in the bottom three or not. If Pasha is not in the bottom three then there will still be 3 girls in the bottom three, as well as Jessi and she will be in comparison with all the other girls in the bottom. If she is not well enough to dance on Thursday then she will be cut from the competition. On to Pasha. He was really good and really hot even though he had to dance with an old lady.

Omg, serious stuff.... well, I'm really looking forward to Wednesday's show. Seriously, is it Wednesday yet????

Donyelle's Broadway Aspirations??

Wah, confusing title. Anyway, based on myspace and the captions Donyelle puts on her photos, it seems that she really has an interest in theatre. . . big theatre.

Donyelle assisted Tyce on a musical called Just Another Man. Here's a picture she posted:

Donyelle's caption for this photo is "I hope to live half the life this woman has on Broadway".

Here's another photo:

Her caption here is "I will be singing like these woman soon".

So yeah ... I really hope to see Donyelle on Broadway. Remember when she discovered dancing with musical theatre?? So, I'll be very happy to see Dony on stage as an actress and singer as well.

Results Show!

Alright, I was slightly upset that Sabra and Dominic were in the bottom three. And I predicted the rest. But, they didn't go home. I need to find Sabra's dance ... NOW, because I missed it. I need to find it because Nigel was raving about how amazing it was.
Dominic looked so happy and relieved when he found out he was safe. He looked soooooooo nervous the entire night. And Nigel is right (did I just say that?), he does have a great personality!
I felt so sad when Cedric said he was trying not to cry! That was rather heart-breaking.
Um, I'm happy Faina didn't go home. It's not her time. Sadly, I've already forgotten the names of the couple who went home tonight... but they seemed like promising dancers. Although, I agree with Nigel about the female leading her partner across the floor.

One more thing! BENJI!!! He danced and the audience went completely wild. I must admit I let out a scream or two. And the ending of his solo ...... woof. I kind of wish Donny was there to dance for America with him.
One more thing. It's my birthday tommorow!

Oh, and here's a pic of Donyelle in Austraila! I still love her:

So I guess I enjoy Frumpy & Dumpy

Hey, I just finished watching tonight's installment of SYTYCD. I thought it was great, but the only times I got really excited was when I could see past season's top 20 sitting behind the choreographers. And of course, when Lacey danced and seeing her brother's support.
Some of my favorite dances were:
~Lacey and Kameron with Mia's contemporary
~Sabra and Dominic with Disco
~Shauna and Jimmy with Broadway

But, I had a serious issue when Nigel called Shauna "frumpy and dumpy". Besides, her costume is not her fault and I doubt it is her responsibilty. Also, did anyone feel that Dan was just extra mean tonight. I understand it's been a while since I've heard him judge, but seriously. Did you feel it?

EnTyce Workshop!!!

I was searching for some Donyelle info at idolforums.com and I found out a lot of great information about Tyce's convention. Benji and Heidi were there as well. Here is Princess_cait 's review as she is LUCKY ENOUGH TO GO!! *is jealous*

Here's the review:

"Entyce was fantastic!! Although the whole time, all I wanted to do was get up and learn the choreography. Stupid expensive fee to participate ...
Let's talk about Donyelle, since that's who this thread is all about. She was AAAAAAAMAZING. Seriously. I wish you all could've experienced this. Her class was third on the list for the Senior Room, which is where I chose to observe. She is a serious teacher... she reprimanded the group for talking while she was teaching, and said that they'd have time for talking once they got the routine down. Her routine was really great - she said it was 'street jazz,' which basically meant hiphop with some turns, lol. Oh! And she had her assistant Tray there with her too. He was cool. I think he might be the one in her second bad dancing vid - the guy that's videotaping her in the mirror. So I tried to remember as much of the choreography as possible, because I really liked it. So towards the end, she talked to the dancers. She said she knew the routine was hard, but she was here to challenge them. She said that if they didn't pick up certain parts of the routine, that was okay, as long as they KILLED the parts they really knew well. She said if they just focused on trying to fix the bad parts, they wouldn't take as much from the class as they should.

Then there was a Q&A after lunch, and random questions were asked. When asked about her fave partner, she said Benji was, and that he was "like her right side" throughout the competition and how they started and ended together.

Um... she said the main person who inspired her was her dance instructor at her church when she did praise dancing in junior high. She said how she learned to move and how each move was centered around God, instead of learning specific techniques, like kicking a certain way or something. I can't remember any other questions worth going over... there was stuff like 'do you have any pets' and 'do you have any siblings,' so yeah.

She came into the Senior Room after that to take the class taught by Chris Jones. I thought it was really cool how, even though she was there to teach, she took a class. THEN. The last class of the day was Tyce's Broadway, and apparently she had been somewhere with Tyce yesterday teaching the same routine to higher-level dancers. Anyway, she dancing in the front of the room (not on the stage with Tyce) and at first I thought she was learning it. But then he mentioned something about the previous day, and said "right Donny?" So yeah. The best part was towards the end, when the students were doing it in groups. Donyelle decided to go out on the floor and dance it, and she KILLED IT LIKE WHOA. Tyce looked so happy - it must be really cool to see someone perform your choreography so well. So then Tyce asked the group "what was unique about what you just saw?" Someone said, "Donyelle," and he said "what about her?" Nobody really answered, and he said "she PERFORMED it." Then he made her do it by herself. I cannot even put into words how amazing she was. She totally added her own style to it, flicking her hair around and making these faces... IT WAS INSANELY AMAZING.

Gahhhhhh I wish you all could've seen it!! Haha, and afterwords, Tyce said that she was amazing and that seeing that had changed his life. He sounded half sarcastic, but he had a point, because seeing someone put that much effort into a routine changes you in some way.

Then all the teachers did routines, and Donny did one with her assistant Tray. It was really cute... a hiphop-ish thing. And several times during it, Benji kept yelling "WORK IT!" Hee.

So that was our day. I was exhausted by the end, and I hadn't even danced. I wish I could've though.

Oh.. pic of me and Donny!!

Thank You SO Much cait!!!

~IMAGE MAGAZINE~

So, I was wondering why Benji and Donyelle had a random photoshoot (although I LOVED it)! I found out Benji had an interview in Image magazine, and brought Donny along with him for pics. I think that's soo sweet even though the article is mainly about him.

You've probably seen this one already, but this is the only Benjelle photo posted in the magazine:

So awesome. So precious. Love Benji. Love Donyelle. Yay, SYTYCD!

Austrailia LOVES Donny!

Herald Sun, Austraila's biggest-selling daily newspaper, had an article completely devoted to Donny!
The article begins by saying, "FED up with being told she was too fat, Donyelle Jones was ready to hang up her dancing shoes forever when she suddenly found herself in the spotlight with a Mormon swing dancer by her side."

This is a good one and it looks like Australia is a huge fan of her as well! The link is:

http://www.news.com.au/heraldsun/story/0,21985,20998006-5006022,00.html

Here's another article from Austrailia! This one is called There's a Dancer in all of us. It begins by saying, "DONYELLE Jones did not feel like dancing. One of the star contestants in So You Think You Can Dance had thrown in her shoes prior to auditioning for the US talent quest."

The link is: http://www.news.com.au/entertainment/story/0,23663,21005561-5007183,00.html

Of course, they are on a different track for watching SYTYCD, but I'm still really happy that they like her so much!

~suz

P.S.: If I'm not mistaken, isn't Donyelle in Austrailia or going there soon? I think she said that in her last video blog...

Wah! New Episode Tonight!! Season 3!

I'm so anxious, I'm watching as I type... I really want to see if Benji just pops out of a corner or something!
Woah, they're showing a lot of really ... erm, odd performances. Like, the man who believes he's Anna Nicole's best friend, and whatnot. I'm really really looking for people with a spark and major potential (like Benji, Donyelle, Heidi, and Travis).

WHERE IS BENJI???? They Promised We'd See Familiar Faces. Watch him pop up at the very end. . . and the sad thing is I'll still be sitting here with my laptop waiting to see what will happen.
Wow, I'm really surprised Nigel let the "Gold Inferno" through to the choreography round. Interesting.
I don't remember the contestants being so odd last year ... Seriously, a man who hiccups and a woman who blinks...
I have to admit that the girl who's mother asked her to dance after she was diagnosed with breast cancer really touched my heart. I'm happy she's going to Vegas! But honestly, I'm really waiting to see Benji and I just want to see the top 20 now!
I like Hok, it would be nice to see an asian person in the top 20. But seeing all of this hip hop and breakdancing makes me miss Ivan! I am still so attached to Season 2!

Ah!!! I just saw Benji! He's coming up after the commercial! Yay! He's still full of good fun and Lacey his sissyduckling looks precious!!!! I'm sure she'll make it through. Why is this commercial so long??? Benji, I miss seeing you on television every single week.

Yay, it's back! ...... waiting for Benji and Lacey. Lenji or Bacey... lol. *waiting*
WOW! Lacey was great. I mean, I was expecting her to be awesome and YAY! She fullfilled my expectations! It was really great to see Benji again with all of his happy goofiness. Especially that joke with Cat, "Is it ours?".

So yeah, I loved seeing that...

Oh, How I LOVE You People!

I understand I've been gone forever, but I still love Donyelle Jones very much! I've just been really wrapped up in other things. But, I saw the SYTYCD commercial for Season Three and immediately missed my obsession from last summer. I had such good times. So, I going to keep posting when I can. . . Maybe find some juicy info or post pictures of that pretty pretty lady. :D

Anyway, I'll be more active, considering summer is nearly here!! Thank you!

Bye Bye!!

Yay! Someone at livejournal posted an article all about Donyelle! It's short, but has a lot of good (inspiring) quotes from Donny herself! One sad thing is that she read what some horrible people said about her on the fox boards!! But, read this article! Enjoy:

Donyelle + Ivan = Something Interesting...

HOLD ON!! Not really thinking of them as a couple .... but, a person on the fox boards noticed something cute and I'd like to share it. Ivanatic (Naudette) posted:

I live in Canada and I have been rewatching all the episodes (like 8 times a week), and I've come to notice something that I've never noticed before.

Ivan follows Donyelle around like a little puppy dog.

At the end of each episode they play the theme song, and everyone kind of dances around while the credits roll. I always take special notice to this because you can kind see who is friends with whom by who they are dancing with. I’ve noticed in the last 4 episodes that Ivan and Donyelle have always been dancing together.

Top 20: The music plays at first Ivan is dancing by himself and Donny is dancing with Benji, then Ivan interferes and attempts to Salsa dance with Donny for the rest of the song.

Top 18: Ivan is in his little hip hop camouflage gear, Donyelles in her Cuchi Cuchi dress. As soon as the music starts playing to cue them to dance, Benji whom Donyelle is standing besides, runs off to find heidi to do some Mambo lifts, leaving Donyelle alone. Ivan runs over to her faster than you can say 'obvious much?'. They dance for the rest of the time together.

Top 16: This one is hilarious. As soon as the music starts Ivan makes his way over to Donyelle. She dances with him for a couple seconds, and then kind of runs off to find some other people to dance with. Ivan follows her! She’s dancing away and he is shadowing her every move right behind her. She actually goes all the to the other side of the stage, Ivan trailing behind her the whole time. She tries to dance with Ryan (correct me if I’m wrong on this one, it could’ve been another dancer cant remember) but Ivan just interferes, so the three of them kind of dance together. I thought this was hilarious, if anyone has a clip you have to watch it.

Top 14: Not quite sure what happens at the beginning since it was they were out of cameras view for the first 5 or so seconds. The camera then pans over the other side and... what do you know! Ivan is getting his flirt on with Donyelle, smacking her butt and trying to dance with her. They dance side by side for the rest of the time until the show ends.

Lmao, has anyone else noticed this? I think its hilarious. Ill keep you updated on the episodes to come too see if he still follows her around still. Canadians, watch for it as well when it reruns. You'll see what im talking about. ;)

I find this sooooo cute!

Donyelle's an Awesome Teacher!!!

Hey people, I'm back (again, again)! Here's a blog from a girl who attended Donyelle's dance class. It's really great! She wrote:
This past weekend, Donyelle was teaching at the CanDance convention at the Palais Des Arts in Hull, Quebec. This is only a two minute drive from Ottawa unless you are me and have a tendency to easily miss roads and get lost.

After much personal debate and struggle, I decided to just go. I knew that I would be the only fan there, and that was my biggest hesitation, but I kept telling myself that the chance of having Donyelle in Ottawa again was pretty much slim to none, and I'd regret it more if I did not go. After all, Ottawa is my hometown (not Hull which I got lost in twice).

I was right about being the only fan observing. The class was set up so that there was a big stage in the room with lighing and loud music. I really liked this set-up because it elevated her from the group of at least 70-100 14 year old girls and a couple of guys, so I could see her all of the time.

She comes out with completely new hair, and I did not really recognize her at first. She got it completely straightened and we no longer see the little bangs. It looked amazing. She's amazing.

When she talked, at first, I immediately knew that this was her life passion. I would not have had to have seen the show to know that this girl is in love with dance. Before they began the choreography, she told them to remember three things. One, that they just go AFTER it. Secondly, they should learn at least one thing from the whole experience. Third, FOCUS.

Once she got through this, she started the first few counts of the choreography. This is where I am going to falter because I cannot explain dance. She would count it at first, and then she started to use the technique of chanting the song lyrics to show when you should be doing a certain move. Once she was happy with the first bit of choreography, they played "Blindfold Me" by Kelis. There were some musical problems throughout the routine and she spent a lot of time by the stereo annoyed that it wasn't really working. At one point, she mentioned something about the music not working, and we got to hear the famous Donyelle laugh! SOOO CUTE!!

What was the most entertaining, for me, while she was doing the steps was that she would count/talk out the lyrics "when he wanna he blindfold me then I get sexy on. I get sexy on." I am seriously not kidding here, and I heard Donyelle half sing/talk that SOO many times through the choreography. It amused me to no end.

The really interesting thing about Donyelle is that she has so much wisdom when it comes to dance and auditioning. She really knows what you have to do to succeed, and she'd be hard on this particular class because she knew that they'd be going through this process soon. She talked about making a connection to who you're auditiong for. Throughout one sequence, she watched one girl do the choreography, and the girl never looked at Donyelle. She kept her eyes down the whole time, and Dony completely called her out. She said (paraphrased), "Hey you, ya I'm talking to you, you never looked at me. I was watching you through that whole thing, and you never once looked at me. When you're auditioning you have to make eye contact. If you don't, they won't hire you because they'll think that you're putting a wall between yourself and them, and they want to see you. You may be nervous, but look up and make eye contact. You may be thinking AHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA inside, but you have to look confident." It was so hilarious when she screamed liked that. She doesn't come off, at first, as that crazy so it really shocked everyone.

She also talked about going after the choreography. It's one thing to just memorize all the steps and just dance it without any emotion or feeling. You can't do that. You need to focus more on really just dancing with your heart. Even if you're a mess and you only get a few counts right, a choreographer may be thinking "ya she's a mess, but I can fix that mess" instead of choosing the person who got everything right, but really had no passion behind the movements. That is why she encourages them to go AFTER it. Have fun with it. It's not about perfection. It's about dancing with heart and soul.

She is truly adorable in person. At one point, I forget the context, but she was talking about the "craziness" of it all. She also kept messing up her own choreography, and would say "don't do that!" At one point, she was saying that she was retarded today for adding in that move. She later did it again, so she was like "I must be so excited about this move or something.. don't do it!" It was beyond adorable.

Near the end, she gave the class a bit of a lecture. She told them that when a choreographer or a teacher is talking, you listen. You don't practise the moves or perfect anything. Your full attention needs to be on the person talking. Of course, as she's attempting to drive this point in people's heads, five girls in front of me were doing the steps and ignoring her. I was really not impressed, but they didn't seem to care. She was right though because if you're not paying attention, you may miss something very important. Like I said, she was being harder on the seniors because she knew they'd be auditioning soon, and she wanted them to be prepared. I really liked that about her. Donyelle does not bull shit. She tells it how it is and, to me, that's what makes her an amazing teacher.

My impression of her changed drastically after watching this class. I always saw tidbits of Donyelle from the show and the tour, but I've never witnessed a full hour where the spotlight was completely on her. When people say she doesn't talk a lot, that's really not the case. She actually talks a lot and is a very confident teacher. She was teaching the class one of her personal favourite audition pieces, I believe. She looked amazing doing it. That girl seriously has the best natural movement I have ever seen. She really is an inspiring person, and she doesn't present herself in a way where "I know all, and you all must follow me", but she really does have so much wisdom and heart when it comes to dance, and you see it. You see it in every step she does, when she talks about it, etc. You just get the feeling that she truly is doing what she's meant to be doing, and I am so happy she did not quit. She's not only an amazing dancer, but she's an amazing teacher. If I could, I would take her class!

This is getting so long, but I want to give you everyone all the Donyelle gossip since that has been lacking. After the class, people went on stage to get a picture with her and meet her. This is where I was again debating with myself whether I would go or not, and I even walked out of the room, but I knew I would be an idiot if I just left without at least attempting to meet her, so I went back in and waited for the stage to clear off a bit because I wanted the ones who paid a lot of money to dance with her to get the opportunity to meet her before I did. I finally walked on the stage, and I was just an incoherent mess. I think it had to do with not eating all day and the fact that I was on a stage with DONYELLE (and no metal between us this time), so I was nervous. I think I said something to the effect that I wasn't a dancer, but I came to the class to see her. I went to the tour in Toronto, and heard she was coming here, so I thought I'd check it out. I then said that I really didn't dance, but what they did was cool. She seemed really touched that I went just to see her teach (or maybe she was freaked out), and then she proceeded to tell me that I should have joined in or something, but I obviously couldn't then. She was like "take some classes". I'm still laughing at that because I know I will never be a great dancer no matter how much I love watching dance and doing my few signature moves. I can't remember really what she said because I was an incoherent fool, but I think she thanked me. She may have hugged me, but I don't remember. I know that when I asked someone to take a picture of us, we were standing side by side in the usual picture pose, and then she put her arm around mine, and I was thinking (oh crap what do I do now?), so I kinda hugged her back. I won't lie. It was a little awkward, but I love her anyway. They had to clear everyone out, so I did not get much of a chance to talk to her, but I got a cute picture out of it, and I got to see Donyelle in a whole new light which made me even more inspired by her and love her even more.

Curious about Donny's new hair?? Here's the picture!

Extreme Donyelle Worry :(

Here's a segment from the foxboards on the show in Waterbury, CT:

Last night at the Waterbury show during You Can't Stop the Beat she started looking really bad at the end like she was gonna pass out. Then Benji was like holding her up and when she went offstage before the finale I could see her colapse. She never came out when her name was called and then Jessica came on. She also wasn't outside at the busses after.

Then, Cait from the IDF thread reported:

So yes, tis the truth that Donny didn't make it to the B-way encore. I'd say towards the very, very end of the Hairspray routine (like, right after the little blowing-a-kiss part), she got a weird look on her face. I can't even describe it to you.. it looked like she was trying to smile, but not doing a very good job. Her moves were a bit off, and she put very little 'oomph' into the part where they look like they're out of breath. After it was finished, she kinda stumbled a bit into the hug that Benji gave her, and then she shuffled off stage kinda slowly. The best word to describe how she looked was disoriented. I'm not sure if it was pain, but I think it looked more like she got dizzy/lightheaded all of a sudden. My eyes were glued to her, but I could only see her until a certain point, and she was still walking at that point. So I dunno. But yeah, she didn't come out when they called her, and then wasn't there for the encore. And no meet & greet either.

We did ask Marf and Benji about her though... Marf said "I think she's gonna be OK," and Benji said something similar. So *fingers crossed* that she's really alright and that she can be in the show tonight. It would suck if she wasn't in the last show.

However, she did do all of her other dances, except Ramalama. Which, now that I think about it, she's been absent from for a while... they might've just permanently replaced her with Jess for that one. But she did Disco! Which made me happy, cause she didn't do that at my venue.

Here's a photo of Donyelle hugging Benji after the Broadway in CT:
